The 3rd Sleep Medicine Summer School 2023, which is part of the Academy of Sleep and Consciousness (ASC) educational program (founded from a joint effort of the University of Bern and the Università della Svizzera italiana) will take place from 10th to 14th July 2023 at the premises of the USI, Univesity of Italian Switzerlan in Lugano (Switzerland).

This year the Sleep Medicine Summer School will offer an intense scientific program on the topics of chronobiology and circadian disorders, hypersomnia and in particular hypersomnolence in neurological disorders, insomnia and mental health, sleep and psychiatry, sleep and neurologic disorders with a specific focus on epilepsy, movement disorders, parasomnias and disorders of arousals, and sleep related breathing disorders with a specific focus on personalized medicine.

EVENT FORMAT

The 3rd Sleep Medicine Summer School will be held in Hybrid format allowing attendees to join the school either onsite or online through a dedicated platform.
The scientific committee strongly hope to welcome as many attendees as possible in Lugano.

REDUCED FEES AND DISCOUNTS

In an effort to provide sleep medicine clinicians residing in developing countries with an easy access to training and education in sleep research, the European Sleep Foundation is pleased to offer reduced registration fees to potential interested attendess in all areas of the world listed below. The geographical areas are divided into three categories, which are based on the developing countries identified by the World Bank as those with an economic standing of low to lower-middle income.

People coming from the following countries can apply for reduced registration fees by sending a formal email to smss@europeansleepfoundation.ch including:

  • Short bio and motivational letter
  • Copy of the ID
